Flinders University School of Nursing and Midwifery

Inspiring spaces for real world teaching

SHAPE was engaged by Flinders University to completely refurbish a large space for conversion into additional facilities for their School of Nursing and Midwifery. The University required new facilities to teach their students in a practical environment.

The project team focused on minimising disruption to the surrounding university staff and students. Our programme was scheduled around university lectures and other important events that could not be disturbed by noisy building works.

The client was specific in their need for the facilities to directly replicate hospital birthing suites and facilities. We used our extensive knowledge of healthcare to facilitate this request, ensuring that the teaching facilities could be used by a nearby hospital as overflow if required.
