Monash University, Building 56

A space that encourages both work and play for all

To accommodate their ongoing expansion, Monash University required the transformation of an existing storage shed to a two level open plan office facility. This space was to be utilised to house the university’s facilities and maintenance department, as well as their mail room operations. The university wanted a high performing building using Passivhaus design principles, while maintaining the integrity of the building’s structure. The key client value was to minimise disruption to building 40 occupants that were in the adjacent premise.
