University of Melbourne Bio 21 Institute

Specialist instrumental laboratory

The University of Melbourne wanted to extend their specialist instrumental laboratory for the Bio21 Institute Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Facility in the basement of the Bio21 Institute. The trigger for the refurbishment was due a RAMAP appointment (joint appointment between the School of Chemistry and Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) of a world-renowned mass spectroscopist and the consequent need to house the additional high-end mass spectrometry equipment. SHAPE was engaged by the University to Melbourne to deliver the refurbishment while minimising disruption and dust to laboratory operations during the construction period.

Testimonial

“SHAPE were most professional in carrying out a refurbishment project in one of our high tech research buildings. The SHAPE Project Manager (Paul Devlin) made this project run smoothly without issues. Paul ensured all communications were distributed to all project team members to keep them updated as shutdown of services were required. The final result was a project delivered on time with client satisfaction, full credit to SHAPE and their team”
