Qantas international AIRPORT Premium lounge

Shaping a word-class lounge for Qantas customers

SHAPE was tasked by Qantas, one of Australia’s largest airlines to emulate the premium lounges of Hong Kong and Singapore, while also reflecting the nature and beauty Queensland has to offer.

Transforming an unused mezzanine level into a new breakfast and dining area increased the space by 30 per cent. The lounge was decked out with furniture that reflects the unique and relaxed style the region has to offer with timber seating and low-slung lounges. A stand-out feature of the design is the installation of artwork created by Jenna Lee from indigenous Brisbane design agency, Gilimbaa, in collaboration with Murri Elders. Qantas customers now have a world-class space where they can relax and dine before they take to the skies.
